The process explains when each stage happens, from the first conversation to handover. The Aethos Standard sets out the commitments applied throughout.
Applied at every stage
Seven written commitments covering protection, surface decisions, preparation, communication, inspection and aftercare.
I listen first: what needs attention, how the rooms are used, the finish you want and any practical constraints. There is no obligation to proceed.
Where appropriate, I visit to inspect condition, previous coatings, access and the needs of an occupied home. This avoids guesswork later.
You receive a written scope and quotation setting out surfaces, preparation, repairs within scope, products, coats, protection, sequence, exclusions and costs, with guarantee terms included.
Floors, furniture, routes and adjoining areas are protected before preparation. I carry out the work myself. If another specialist is ever needed, I will discuss it with you and get your agreement first. Dust and debris are controlled as the work allows, areas are reset daily, and the space is cleaned and reinstated at handover.
Coatings are applied to the agreed specification with close attention to edges, coverage and drying times. I keep you informed throughout and sequence the work around your home.
We inspect the work, address agreed finishing points, clean and reinstate carefully, and leave a useful record for the property. It identifies product names, colour references, sheen levels, the surfaces completed, significant preparation decisions and practical maintenance guidance. Aethos workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months under the written terms; moisture, movement, substrate failure, third party work and product defects are assessed separately.
Written 12 month workmanship guarantee
Every job we finish carries a written guarantee on the workmanship for 12 months from the day it is completed. If something we painted fails because of the way we prepared it or applied it, we return and repair it properly at no cost to you. That means our labour, our materials, our dust sheets and however long it takes.
