Air carrying salt and wind driven rain can expose weaknesses at window joints, sills and vulnerable masonry. Sheltered and seaward elevations may need different maintenance attention. Before painting, we look for unstable coatings and moisture problems; decoration cannot substitute for repairing water ingress.

Is a special coastal paint always necessary?

There is no single coating for every coastal home. Exposure, timber or masonry type, existing coatings and moisture condition determine the suitable system.

Can you paint an older cottage with limewash?

Potentially, if the substrate and existing finish are compatible. We assess the wall first; a permeable finish over an impermeable layer does not automatically make the wall breathable.

Do you work on holiday homes?

We welcome enquiries for second homes and holiday properties. Include access arrangements and guest dates so the work and curing period can be planned before anything is confirmed.
