Preparation and repairs

The work includes the property's existing features as the renovation continues. On an exposed waterfront property, preparation and drying conditions need particular attention. The existing coating and the masonry beneath it should be assessed before painting, and exterior work needs a suitable weather window.

Paint and material choices

White Sandtex masonry paint is being used outside. The supplied tub is Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth in Brilliant White. Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss in Black is being used on external woodwork and the summer house. Farrow & Ball Dutch Orange No. W76 in Exterior Eggshell is being used on exterior woodwork, with Cook’s Blue No. 237 in Exterior Eggshell on the front door. Farrow & Ball colours continue through the interior. The supplied paint photographs identify Drawing Room Blue No. 253 and Arsenic No. 214 in Dead Flat, and a separate tin of Dutch Orange in Flat Eggshell. The precise interior room allocations have not been recorded.

Result and progress

The renovation is still in progress. Ross and Ellie have taken great care of this home, and our work is continuing across its interior and exterior. As with all our projects, we do not share photographs of the inside of clients' homes. This exterior photograph records the property while the work continues.
